Fantasy Films Adventures - Two By Two (6)

Soon Leo, Benny, Johnny and Rae and the others met up with Dagnino and the other predators. Leo presented to them the symbols.

“Do you guys know about them?” Rae asked.

“Not a clue,” Cachito responded.

“What exactly is so important about these symbols anyway?” asked Coco.
Suddenly the blue and purple symbols began glowing and floated towards the Predators.
“Ooh! Pretty!” Wolf gang said with admiration.

The blue symbol chose Dagnino and the Purple one chose Panthy.

“Our suspicious were correct,” said Leo. “They are all on this ark.”
“What are you talking about?” Dagnino asked.

“The group of animals from my father’s story,” Xiro responded. “The story about how they unite together to save all of creation.”

“Right,” added Leo, “and they’re all right here on this ark. You’re one of them, mate.”
“Me?” Dagnino questioned. He looked at his symbol.

Then suddenly they heard a loud roar which was not from one of the animals on the ark. Realizing that Noah and his family could be in danger, the animals ran toward the human section. Everyone was found huddled together in Noah’s room.

“Is everyone alright,” asked Leo. “Did anyone hear a loud roar?”

“We’re all safe,” Noah replied, “but I’m afraid we did hear it, and I fear the worse.”
“Father, are you saying?” Japheth asked.

Noah just nodded. Naama placed her hands to her head in horror. Shem, Ham and Japeth held their wives closely as they shivered of what Noah said could mean one thing Anubis was on the Ark!.

“I think now would be a good time to come up with a plan,” said Panthy.

“And I’ve got a good one,” Rae responded. She then faced the predators, “And we’re going to need everyone’s help to pull it off.”

“What do you say, Dagnino?” Xiro asked, “for the sake of the animals on board?”

The young lion raised his paw before the tiger. Dagnino was hesitant for a few seconds, then grinned and shook Xiro’s paw with his own.

“You can count on us,” the tiger responded.

“So what’s this plan of yours,” Patricio asked.

“Okay, here’s what we’ll do,” said Rae. “We’ll need someone to lure that demon out.”
“We still have some left over tomato sauce,” said Cachitio.

“Perfect!” Rae responded. “ Japheth when me, you and Ham secure the demon, Shem will use his strength to pin it down. We’ll need to secure something to track it with.”

“We can get a bag of grain from the kitchen," Kairel added.

“We’ll puncture a whole in the bag and follow the trail left behind,” said Panthy.
"Okay, team, let’s get to work," Leo said.

Coco brought out a few small barrels filled with tomato sauce. The gator handed Leo and Benny each a barrel, and then the three of them removed the tops and splashed the sauce all over the floor.

"This is not work,” Patricio grumbled. "It was a stupid idea before and it’s a stupid idea now!"

“Hey, it worked when everyone thought Xiro ate another animal.” Coco responded.
He covered his mouth, realizing what he had said in front of Leo. Leo clenched his fists, trying to hold back from losing his cool.

"Easy, bud" Benny said reassuring his friend. “Remember, we're all on the same side.”
"Uh, guys?" Johnny said as he pointed to the hatch and saw two bright red glowing eyes.
"The Demon" Rae said quietly as the glow got brighter then dimmed.

"Um…is it too late to back out on this" Wolfgang said feeling quite afraid.

"Okay…here goes nothing,” Benny said as he splashed some more tomato sauce on the floor.
The creature slowly started to emerge as Cachito gave the signal. Rae, Japheth and Ham headed to the hatch.

"Guys, go for the front legs. I’ll lasso its neck" Rae said.
The young lioness transformed into her battle garbs, but then the glowing eyes suddenly dimmed out.

"Where did it go"? Ham asked in confusion.

Everyone looked nervous. Then suddenly the hatch blew open to reveal a monster-like bear with dark red fur with light trim. Its head was almost it's skull with glowing yellow eyes as it roared at the group.

"Guys here’s our chance!" Rae shouted as Ham and Japheth lassoed the bear's legs. Rae lassoed its neck as it growled "Shem now!"

Shem leapt onto the bear's back from behind and using his strength pinned the demon beast to the floor.

"Girls, quickly!" Rae called out.
Kairel, Bruma, Panthy and Teresa rushed over with a bag of grain. As Kairel tied it onto the demon, it broke free. Shem was sent flying as the creature retreated back down below.

"It's going back down to the animal hold,” Panthy cried.

"Come on! After it!" Dagnino shouted as he and the others headed back down the the animal hold. Noah and his family remained behind and prayed for everyone’s safetly.

The Demon bear thundered down as it raced through the ark. Rae, Johnny, Leo, Benny and their animal friends chased after it. They eventually the group cornered the beast in the lower level. The monster glared angrily and roared at them as it punched a hole into the side of the ark and vanished as water sprayed into the group's faces.

"Oh crud!" Johnny cried. “If we don't plug up this leak, this whole ark is going to sink!"
Xiro, noticing some spare wood, got himself an idea.

"Guys use these to plug up the hole" the young lion said.
Benny and Leo put the boards into place and Johnny reached into his back pants pocket and pulled out a hammer and some nails.

"I know where there’s some extra pitch,” said Dagnino. “The rest of you stay here and help Xiro.”

“I’ll give ya hand, Dag,” said Teresa.

As the two tigers rushed out, Wolfgang quickly grabbed another board and handed it to Coco, who dove in held the plank over the hole. Shortly after, Dagnino and Teresa came running back in with a brush and bucket of pitch. Using the brush, they painted the pitch over the wood until the whole was plugged up.

“Good work, everyone,” said Leo. “Let’s have the elephants help us drain off of this unwanted water out.”

Later that evening after all the water in the lower level had been disposed back into the ocean, the group met up again in the dining area for a big fish dinner.
“What a day,” said Kairel. “chasing after that demon bear, saving the ark from going under…”

“And on top of that,” added Xiro, “We made peace with the Predators.”
“I’ll admit it,” said Dagnino. “We did make a pretty good team.”
“We all did,” Rae added.

"Well i've got a feeling this is not over" Bruma said a bit nervous with good reason.

“If that bear does come back, we’ll be ready for him,” Johnny said with his mouth full.
“There is still one other thing,” said Panthy, “these symbols. What exactly do they mean for us?”
