The Pebble and the Lion (revised) - Part 2

Meanwhile back at the Lion and Tiger enclosures it was the last feeding time as the head big cat keeper Owen Grady had finished up feeding the tigers lead by the alpha male Dagnino as he was giving a talk about the Lions and Tigers battle out in the wild as both species were facing extinction he was feeding bits of meat to the lions lead by the alpha male Xiro.

"Thank you ladies and gentlemen for joining me at the Lion and Tiger enclosures and enjoy the rest of your stay at Zootopia Zoo" Owen said as the crowd started to leave as Owen went to wash his he was joined by his friend Barry the Panther keeper.

"Owen" a voiced called as another big cat keeper came up to them his name was Hoskins and he took care of the Snow leopards and pumas "Man you got those lions and tigers eating out of your palm" he said with a chuckle as Owen and Barry looked annoyed "what is it this time Hoskins?" he asked as he and Barry were washing their hands.

"Simple i want us to do a field test  I've just seen that they can respond to commands, we need to take this research and get it on it's feet" Hoskins explained as Owen looked annoyed as he turned to him "These are wild animals Hoskins our goal is to save them from extinction not further it" Owen said as Hoskins shrugged and went on is way.

"We finally make progress with the lions and tigers and that's the first thing he says? Make a weapon?" Barry said also annoyed with hoskins "Don't worry Barry the owner said we will not let that happen" Owen said giving Barry some confidence.

Meanwhile back at the Lion enclosure Zach, Gray and Sunset we looking for the lion that Sunset was sponsoring as Zara was resting on one of the benches with a cup of coffee in one hand. "Wait i think i see him" Sunset said as she was pointing to Alex.

Not far from the rest of the pride Alex was on his own, making a heart out of stones. As he did, the kids went up to the part of the enclosure.

"Of all the Lions of all the zoo; the most romantic was Alex. He had a secret love in his life; Leonette the most beautiful Lioness in all of the zoo."

"Hi Alex, our friend Sunset told us about you do you mind telling us a story," asked Gray
"Yes, can it be a love story," added Sunset "Really that mushy stuff!" said Zach annoyed.

"Oh Zach!" Sunset said as she glared at her friend as Zach crossed his arms.

"Well, once there was a Lion who fell in love with a beautiful Lioness in the whole Zootopia Zoo," Alex began his story as Sunset sighed, "Did she love him back?"

"Sadly no t hey never even met," Alex replied, "You see, he was very painfully shy."

"Oh," said Gray as Alex continued as he kept his paws crossed from his back, "Well, one day, he found the courage in him and he felt strong as six elephants and as he swallowed his fear he walked up to her and said, 'hello Leonette, I'm Alex and I think you're fabulous!'"

the kids and Alex began to laugh. Alex sighed as Zara came up to them "That never happened did it?" she asked as Alex frowned, "Oh, who am I kidding? I mean I've never even talk to the girl…" suddenly, he lost his balance and slid down the grassy slope. The kids and Zara watched as Alex screamed as he kept sliding, then he bumped into a familiar Lioness, Leonette. Leonette yelped and fell on the ground; she turned around and looked at Alex, who got up.

Alex gasped, "Goodness gracious, Leonette!" he grinned as he Blushed a little.

Leonette giggled, "So, it wasn't an landslide. That was some landing, Alex," she poked his chest which caused in to fall off.

"I'm so sorry Leonette," Alex apologized, "I'm just so clumsy."

"Oh don't be silly, Alex," said Leonette as she and Alex laughed as Zara and the kids gave them some time alone.

"But someone else had his eye on the fair Leonette; Tai Lung. An evil snow leopard with a heart as cold as ice who got what he was after one way or the other."

Up on top of the snow leopard enclosure, Tai Lung watched the whole thing and glared at Alex.

"That little wimp! I'll knock that fur right out of him!" Tai Lung snapped as he scooped up some of the artificial snow making a snowball, "Leonette doesn't know it yet, but she's going to be my mate!

Our cubs will be the strongest, the fastest, the bravest…not to mention the best looking. Why, they'll be just like me!" Tai Lung  began to laugh evilly as three arctic foxes laughed along with him.

Tai Lung growled at them, making them shut up, "I'm telling you boys, Leonette is as good as mine!" Tai Lung laughed as he threw the snowball; he kept growling as one of these days, he'll get Leonette.
