A Walk on the Wild-Side Part 8

It was night where the police car found the black van parked by a warehouse near a train yard as Nick, Leo and Judy got out Judy studied the plate number “It’s not the one” she said as nick noticed the back door of the van was opened as he climbed him he found something. “Blonde hair” he whispered as he placed it in an evidence bag as he got out. “Well if we go in via the front door we’re bound to be caught” Nick said as Leo and Judy studied the problem in hand “or we can go up” Judy said noticing a ladder by the warehouse.

Once reaching the roof the three quietly walked on the roof they approached a window seeing into the inside “uh guys” Nick said as Leo and Judy came to him “I think I know who those guys kidnapped” Nick said quite shocked as he, Leo and Judy peered into the window they saw the warehouse had a few lights and had a cage with only one prisoner it seemed to be a gazelle by not just any gazelle Judy saw in shock that this was the Gazelle Zootopia’s number one pop star.

 “Please whatever you want I’ll give you anything just please let me go!” Gazelle pleaded but her plea’s fell on death ears as t tiger turned to her but it was not one of the tigers she knew as he turned to three boars. “Keep her quiet till the boss arrives” just then the phone rang the tiger sighed as he reached the phone. “You got Max…. Yeah okay boss what’s our next move…. Extract The Song of Savannah Central then the next target” Max said as he pulled out a device of some-sort “okay then we go after the crystal ball then deal with the others got it” Max said as he wrote down who was talking to him over the phone as he hung up.

“Hey Max open up!” a voice came from the other door to the warehouse “come on Guys dinner’s here” Max said to the boars as the entered the other room as the coast was clear Leo taking a glasscutter out from his pocket cut opened a hole big enough for Nick, himself and Judy to climb through.

“Please Lord help me in my hour of need” Gazelle prayed as she opened her eyes she said Leo, Judy and Nick “Who are you?” Gazelle said a bit scared “easy there now Miss we’re here to set you free” Leo reassured Gazelle as the lion got to work in setting her free Judy had an idea using a crowbar beside the door she slid it in front of it to make sure the kidnappers did not pursue them.

Soon Leo using his brute strength bent the bars of Gazelle’s cage as she leapt through “come on back to the car!” Nick said as they headed for the door but when the opened it the police car didn’t start “Battery must be dead” Leo said “what do we do now?” Gazelle said worried as they heard a voice from the warehouse. “They sprung Gazelle!” they heard one of the boar’s shout “Run!” Nick and Judy said together as the group got out and made a run for the rail-yard.

As Max and the boars got outside they noticed the police-car “Search everywhere” Max ordered as he and the boars began their search in the rail yard Nick was getting worried if they caught them their sunk “okay we need a plan here!” he whispered as Leo and Judy noticed something “Come on” Judy said quietly as the four headed to an old steam train and climbed aboard as Leo began to shovel coal into the smoke-box Nick and Judy felt a twinkle in their eyes as if they knew what to do next.

“Leo stand back!” Nick said as without warning fire shot from his hand into the smoke box lighting the coal as Judy climbed onto the boiler and without so much of second thought fired a jet of water into the train’s boiler. “Even though we got a good amount of steam it still won’t be enough to get us moving” Gazelle said as Leo took off the handbrake and to the four’s surprise the train began to move.

Soon the steam train was racing along the line to Savanah Central under the moon and glistening snow of Tundratown Gazelle thanks her rescuers for saving her “your welcome miss Gazelle and once we reach the ZPD you will be in safe hands” Leo said as Nick noticed the cord connecting the train’s whistle “May I?” he asked “Yeah go ahead” Leo said as Nick Blew the train’s whistle but however when the train reached the Rainforest District they ran angina into more trouble.

“What the…. Oh no guys we got company!” Leo said as to the group’s horror the same group of kidnappers were pursuing them on a diesel engine waving guns and shouting “STOP!” “STOP!”
“Oh no!” Gazelle said in fear as her kidnappers were behind them as Leo looked ahead thinking of a plan “just beyond this tunnel is Savannah Central but there’s a small park leading to the ZPD so if we slow down we can jump without being seen so get ready everyone” Judy and Nick looked ahead as the train plunged into the tunnel as Leo applied the brakes gently he told Gazelle to hold on to him as they come out soon the train reached the other end right out to Savannah Central.

“Now Jump!” Judy cried as the four jumped from the train as they tumbled into a couple of bushed as the train thundered off into the night followed by the Diesel engine and Gazelle’s kidnappers “Phew that was the second time I jumped from a train” Nick said as he dusted himself as he turned to see the others he had a look for concern on his face “Leo?”

Meanwhile Back at the ZPD Benny, Johnny Rae were worried about their friends when suddenly the door burst opened as Xiro and Dagnino helped Leo in followed by Nick, Judy and Gazelle “Leo what happened?” Rae said with worry “Ah it’s my ankle I think I twisted it in the fall” Leo said in pain as then Gazelle had a sense in her and she knew what she needed to do. “Please let me help him” She asked “he saved my life I owe him” Gazelle said as she got on to her knees and pull Leo’s trouser leg on the twisted ankle then placed her hand on it as from her a glow began to form and it receded to everyone’s surprise Gazelle managed to somehow heal Leo’s leg.

“Well you got some explaining Lionheart” Bogo said as Leo stood up and began to explain the whole story.
